A dynamic manager developing regional coverage Philippe Bens has more than 25 years experience in asset servicing, including more than ten years in Luxembourg during which time he acquired extensive experience in depositary and custodian banking. He came to Nyon in 2008 when he took over the management of CACEIS Switzerland, which was launched in 2006. With the creation of the CACEIS Bank Switzerland Branch in 2015, the Swiss entity of the group now offers a range of services that allows it to meet the needs of existing and prospective clients in a comprehensive way. Since then, Mr Bens has been in charge of all the sales teams in Switzerland and runs the growing the Swiss operation. Continued growth through strategic acquisitions In October 2022, CACEIS and Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) announced they had signed a Memorandum of Understanding with a view to CACEIS acquiring the European asset servicing business of RBC Investor Services. These services include custody of assets and foreign exchange operations, fund administration, transfer agent services, middle office and securities lending and borrowing. The transaction would bring together two strong asset servicing players in Europe and would strengthen CACEIS competitive position as a global leader in asset servicing, giving it a larger geographical presence, an expanded client base and an expanded offering of complementary products allowing it full coverage of the value chain for existing and future clients. An attractive range of pension funds Pension funds are a strong area of growth for CACEIS. It handles the processing of transactions, the valuation of portfolios and daily reporting on the valuation of all pension fund assets and liabilities. Its turnkey asset administration service covers all reporting services to pension funds/middle office, including financial accounting, annual reports, regulatory and tax reporting, performance and risk reporting and ESG.
